As a way of giving back, Cheryl has been involved in a variety of organizations since the inception of her business. In 2009, Cheryl donated a handbag to a Martin Luther King Essay scholarship to benefit the redevelopment of an area of Houston. For “Toys for Tots” in the Bay area of San Francisco area, Cheryl designed an outfit for the mascot used to promote the celebration of this annual Christmas event. In 2007, Cheryl taught entrepreneurship to inner city youth through a non-profit organization called, E-City. E-City has been very successful at empowering low-income youth at turning their business ideas into a profitable business. E-City is a subsidiary of the National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship based in New York City. E-City is growing at a phenomenal rate in the city of Cleveland by offering classes at high schools, after school programs and summer business camps. Cheryl donated purses to the Stuntwomen’s Association, and the “Funky Diva Purse Auction,” sponsored by the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center. Cheryl has participated in, “Art Fur Animals” for the past three years. This art auction benefits The City of Cleveland Kennel. Although, it was auctioned off one year ago, Cheryl’s first dog, “Kirby” was donated back to the organization and they are still raising funds with the use of the dog. Also, in 2007, Cheryl participated in, “The Year of the Pig,” sponsored by St. Clair/Superior Development Corporation. Ms. Daisy can be seen in front of the entrance to DayGlo on 45th and St. Clair in Cleveland, Ohio.
